Doug joined Business Acquisitions Ltd (BA) as a Merger and Acquisitions  Specialist in 2016. Before coming to BA, Doug established Big Gear Business Advisors Inc., a management consulting firm that provided management expertise to countless privately-owned companies for over 15 years.

With decades of experience leading teams across a diverse range of industries and organizational levels, Doug is adept at operating in both the boardroom and on the factory floor.  His extensive management background includes roles in M&A, business development, strategic planning, product management, quality processes, and leadership development.

Doug is known for being knowledgeable, a straight shooter, and someone who consistently achieves results. Under his guidance, clients have achieved long-term sustainability, crafted exit strategies and succession plans, designed profit improvement plans, executed profit turnarounds, restructured debt, analyzed strategic options, developed business plans,  secured growth financing, implemented process improvements, and established effective management accountability processes.

Doug earned a master’s degree from Harvard University, is a graduate of the University of Texas, and is licensed with the Colorado Real Estate Commission.
